Non-rebreather mask is a clear, latex free oxygen mask used only the air that is supplied to them through an oxygen tank or concentrator. It helps increase the supply of oxygen to the lungs, which in return brings more oxygen to the body tissues. Using a non-rebreather mask should be something a doctor prescribes for the patient and in not a personal preference.
The non-rebreather mask covers both the nose and mouth of the patient and attaches with the use of an elastic cord around the patient’s head for easy adjustment.
